HELP! E90 325i Engine Vibration / Shaking
2006 BMW 325i
Mileage: 66,000 Symptoms – Extreme vibration and shaking of the entire vehicle at low RPMs with multiple codes as listed below. Engine vibration and shaking worse on cold start and when in reverse. September 2013 Service Engine OBD Codes: P0300 – Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected P0153 – O2 Sensor Circuit Slow Response Dealership Fix – Recommended draining fuel tank due to “low grade fuel”. Codes cleared. Techron fuel additive added. Symptoms seemed to slightly improve. November 2013 Service Engine OBD Codes: P112D – Manufacturer Defined P0153 – O2 Sensor Circuit Slow Response Dealership Fix – Replace spark plugs because “the wrong spark plugs were installed” (although they were the factory plugs from original build and dealership purchase). Cost of $335 ![]() Symptoms seemed to slightly improve but didn’t go away. December 2013 Service Engine OBD Codes: P112D – Manufacturer Defined P0153 – O2 Sensor Circuit Slow Response Vibration at low RPMs worse than ever. Not wanting to go back to the dealership for additional “fixes” that never cure the problem. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I had originally thought that I might have a bad engine coil but haven’t yet attempted the replacement. |
