Factory maintenance schedule manual transmission oil

According to BMW's maintenance program, http://www.bmwusa.com/mpdisclaimer, the manual transmission oil service is for "applicable models." It doesn't say specifically which models but my SA says its for M models only; however, why doesn't it explicitly state M models only like it does for the "running-in check at 1,200 miles"?

Does anyone have any experience getting it covered for their non-M cars?

My SA is trying to push for me but I haven't found anything helpful. Any input appreciated.
