So I had a friend come over to install my new BMW battery in my 08 335. Everything went smoothly until it came time to register the battery. He owns an AutoLogic tablet and has done a bunch of programming on my car, so this is not the issue, however the car will not let the system recognize the new battery. He suggested it might be the JB4, however it was in map 0 when the registration was being done. It throws a code that the DME will not communicate with the battery correctly therefor it will not save the new battery info. The car is running fine with no check engine lights or codes and it is recognizing the IBS. Couldn't find anything anywhere on this previously happening to anyone, whose got some insight for me.

Have a try at it with INPA. Or BMWLogger.

Never seen or read of any situation such as this before.

Not familiar with either one if those, is it possible that it could be related to the Jb4 at all or is it an issue with the car itself?
