Which Cable do I Need?

Hi, I am looking for a cannot for a 2006 325i. I noticed that the protocol changed post 2007 to d-can. I wasn't able to fully conclude on what I need because of that.

Is like to use it for software updates and misc. Other things.

Yes, this cable will work. btw it is really cheap.
