e90 compact spare tire price hunt
Hi Guys,
I just dumped my bridgestone turanza EL42 RFT 4 for $1000 installed with tax. Instead i went for Kumho ECSTA SPT (non RFT) for 4 for $415 installed with tax. I just bought them from america's tire. Is this the only compact spare tire that exists in the market?? http://leatherz.com/Merchant2/mercha...tegory_Code=Z4 Does anyone know any other places we can find it? I've searched all over e90 post before i posted this, if i missed something let me know. This spare tire alternative is kinda expensive. Compact spare: $245 Jack Kit: $135 E90 325i does not require fitment kit if u got 328 or 335 add another: $60 So the total price is about $380 Can anyone help us save more money? Thanks!! It appears (not sure though) they are using the factory 17" compact spare used in the E46. It has a 30mm offset. The part number is 36116750007 and is available at tischerbmw.net for $56.60.
Finding the proper tire might be more of a challenge. Browsing tirerack.com I'm not seeing the matching 125/80/17 tire. Continental makes one. I'd call some Conti dealers and see if they could get you one. The tool kit they sell looks like BMW factory part number: 71106773536. Sold for $115.32 at Tischer. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=21947 Last edited by CirrusSR22; 11-01-2007 at 04:28 PM.. |

More options i found on google.
folding spare - spare which must be inflated with an air canister prior to mounting. compact spare - spare which is much smaller and narrower than the other wheels on the vehicle lightweight spare - which is the same diameter as the other tires on the vehicle but thinner. |
