my car has no power!! Please help

I own 2007 328i and it has been running fine for a while. But most recently it has developed a problem with what I think might be the battery. The car has no power at all, wouldn't even start. The dealership bought it form gave me a good warranty on the car. So when I had the car towed over, they ran some tests and changed out the battery. I picked it up and drove it home and everything was fine. Not 2 hours later, I come back to the same issue. No power at all. No lights on dash, nor would it start. I know I didn't leave the lights on our anything that would have drained the battery. So I have two questions. Does this occur often with this model? And if so, what is it and how can I fix it? Thanks so much!

No I had a 07 and drove it up to 95k miles before training it in and never had such an issue. In fact I never even changed the battery on it. Had it running on the original battery all that time with no issues. Since you car is under warranty I would have it towed back to the dealer and let them deal with it.

Dealer said they checked fuses and maybe the relays... I'm not sure I'll have to double check. I'm in the central valley. And I'm sure they might have coded the battery with my vin though again I'd have to double check. I've herd some talk about the IBS on the battery being an issue. Would you think this has anything to do with my problem at hand?

Bring it back to the dealer and have them look at it. Save yourself the time and crap. Ask them about the battery cable recall.

By the way, this is the classifieds section. You would have much better luck with responses in the technical sections.

Sounds dumb, but check the mirror on the visors, if it's open the light never turns off and drains the battery. Happened to a buddy of mine. Lolol

Did the dealer perform a battery and charging system test?
