Buyers beware - nysour335i
I purchased a rim from this guy and he's been ducking me since he got the money. he was supposed to ship last tuesday (he received the money on Monday 1/6/13) and since then he keeps making excuses on why he doesn't provide a tracking number.
first excuse - the paperwork is at home next excuse - its his birthday so he took half a day off and its not with him then for two days he doesn't reply except once when he said I should have the rim by Saturday at the latest and when I asked for tracking he didn't reply. Today he didn't reply to any texts then he answered the phone (first time for me to call) and tells me he left the tracking number on the paypal website - which there was nothing there when I checked. Then he totally goes dark - no replies to texts or calls. I checked with UPS and even ground shipping should be overnight because we're only a few hours apart NY>PA. SO NOW I THINK THIS IS A SCAM. FUTURE BUYERS BEWARE! I'd rather be wrong about this and it may be my fault for trusting someone I don't know. Anyway this is just a shout out to anyone else thinking about dealing with this guy. |

[QUOTE=BlueBimmer;15254799]Unfortunately I gifted the money at his request. He saw this thread and texted me that it's not a scam - he just doesn't have the paperwork and he's at work. He claimed that he entered the tracking info into PayPal (which I couldn't find) so I asked if he could send me anything to prove he sent it. Unfortunately there was no response
That's like saying he wasn't murdered, he just walked into my knife 18 times. He has not provided you with either the goods or tracking number and hasn't exerted any effort to resolve the issue thus far; I'm sorry my friend but you're dealing with a scammer. |

As previously stated, NEVER gift anyone the $$. If they insist on buyer paying the PP fees, then simply add 3-4% to your agreed price to cover the fees - that way not only do you have a better case thru PP, but you can also dispute the charge with the credit card company you used for the purchase - which is a much quicker & yields better results.
Frankly, IMO the seller should pay the PP fees - it's the price of doing business & having the benefit of getting paid quickly/securely. Nothing I hate more than a seller that states a price shipped, then when you contact them they want you to either gift the $$, or pay the fees on top of their asking price If seller's expect the buyer to pay the fees, they need to roll them in to their original price, or don't bother selling - I'm not paying for the seller to get all the benefits of using PP That being said, I've only been scammed (along with a couple others) on this forum one time, by a shady guy from Poland - we all disputed the charges with our CC companies & all had the $$ refunded within 1 week... Good luck with your 'adventure' hope you get your $$ back
