Radar detector with clown nose

I have the passport escort 8500. I was thinking about this today. Sometimes when im driving i blast the music. The unit itself doesnt blink, but make a noise which cant be heard because of music. The only thing that i notice (and saves me 95% of the time) is the little red light that blinks on the 12v plug.

Anyway i want to integrate the whole system and run the wires to the rain sensing stuff. And have the clown nose blink just like the led on the plug.

What do you guys think? Good idea? Can it be done?
