Bluetooth. Can it access devices other than phones?
For example, can I play mp3s off my BT-enabled PDA through Logic 7?

BT has more than one profile, and hi-fi stereo audio is one of them. To the OP - BT _can_ do a lot of things, but both devices involved in the transaction need to participate. AFAIK, BMW doesn't have any support for profiles outside of voice and phonebook transfer. |

AFAIK, BT also has profiles for file sharing
If the Logic 7 with the IPod option can play Ipod tunes (I am assuming a digital transfer NOT analog) then BT should be able to accomplish the same.

A2DP is the BT profile needed for hi-fi audio, and as far as I know, the BMWs don't support it.
You could use a A2DP to mini plug adapter and plug it into the aux input and use it that way, but I don't know if they make such a thing.

I'm quite sure that 8Khz mono is the best you'll get out of any published versions of HFP. |

I've posted this before, and I'll probably post it again: Motorola DC800 + mini-USB car charger + RCA->stereo 1/8" cable will get you A2DP over the aux input. I'm sure there are other options, but DC800's are what I have in my drawer. |
