Hi, Not sure if this is the right place to be asking this.. but here goes:

I have recently bought an 07 330i e92 i'm really enjoying the car, as its my first automatic car I just wanted to make the experience a little more fun by adding paddle shift functionality.

So just wondering if anyone here does paddle shift retro fits. Have looked at some of the guides and it seems to beyond what I could do in a reasonable amount of time.

Would be willing to buy any of the extra parts that may be required, pay for the time and help as required. I'm located in the North East but would be willing to travel a reasonable distance.

I may have an M Sport paddleshift steering wheel with paddles available soon if you end up going this route. The paddles have also been re-wired to be pull left to change down and pull right to change up.

I thought that all the autos (except 318/320) come with paddle shit.

Nope, they were an option (fairly cheap tbh) but unfortunately I bought my car used and it wasn't specced up with paddles. Has a reasonable spec otherwise though: auto, memory sports seats, cd changer, bluetooth, 18" alloys, xenons etc

Although, thinking about it a little more.. you may be right for the newer ones - however mine is a 07 plate with the N52B30 engine (272ps as its in the e92).

I was happy with getting the n52 as its known to be much more reliable then its replacement and much more refined - although more uneconomical in terms of fuel consumption

Yeah, if I can find someone to do the retrofit to my car then I may well be interested in your wheel

ive just bought my m3 wheel and am also looking for someone to retrofit the paddleshift for me

How simple is it to set paddles up the right way round?

Its rare I use them, but every time I try its mental that your brain works the right way and the left paddle doesn't

It's like everything - simple for some, fiddly for others. The left connector is rewired within the wheel.
