I got 19" need to lower?
Hi guys!
I have 19 8.5 in front and 19 9.5 rear. Its 2008 328i not sport package. There is big gap... Was thinking to lower it. Should i do it? If so what springs are good? I was suggested just to put Eibach springs how low should i drop it ? Someone please post a url to the right springs! Thank you |

Costly non-coilover setup when brand new but you will be happy with them for sure. I believe people sell them for like $600 in the classifieds though. Tire wear is not a problem if you do an alignment after touching the suspension. |

You can find some lightly used high quality coilovers for similar price as the spring/shock setup on classified if you have patience.

You have a couple of spring options then
Your options are Eibach vs. H&R Both companys offer 2 springs each. Eibach Pro-Kit Springs (subtle) Eibach Sportline Springs (more aggressive) H&R sport springs (slightly even more aggressive than the Eibachs) H&R race springs (very aggressive i would discount these straight away) The 2 springs id look at would be the eibach sportline and the h&r sport springs. I have the H&R sport springs and it is rather aggressive so if i were to do it again id probably choose the eibach sportlines. It all depends what your after, subtle go for eibach a bit more aggressive but nothing crazy choose H&R |

Check out coilovers I personally have kw v1 and love them. I really love that the height is adjustable better ride quality than stock even when lowered.

The H&R sport is on the softer side, if you want it to be stiffer you might need to get coilovers.
It might be stiff to some but I've been in a couple track cars and H&R sport is not even close to being stiff, it's more like a very comfortable/luxurious feeling at a lower ride height. H&R sport's rear is aggressive, but the front should have been 1/4-1/2" lower. I guess it would be "stiff" to those who are on stock shocks though, Koni yellows are also extremely comfortable even at the stiffest settings. No one can tell my car is lowered when they are sitting in my car. |

St coils of you Dont see snow in ur area. Or koni yellows with swift spring set up. One thing to take on to consideration is that you might be tucked after lowering it depending on the offset of your wheels might look weird so spacers might be useful for you to. So drop first then widen it out if it still bothers you. You could try yellows and eibachs to. H&r progressive swift / eibach linear

H&R Sport springs will be fine plus they're cheap!

19's with sport package on eibach pro kit springs. About a finger gab between the tire and fender, never rubbed and I've had 4 pretty hefty people I'n the car before. Remember if you run lowering springs on stock struts you're gonna blow the struts fairly quick so plan on getting struts at some point . Coilovers are not for everyone it's takes a couple tries to set them up the way you want them and they tend to make more creaking, popping noises than just struts and springs and the spring perches can sometimes come loose and need to be readjusted. So if you are not a diy kind of person and just just want to jump in your car and not worry about the suspension get springs and struts, I've had both and I'm not a big fan of coilovers for the simple fact they require more attention and are pricier, that and im not tracking my car.
