JB4 is finally in...now i keep getting "increased battery discharge" warning

All in all I love it. Install was super easy (other than there not being any directions on where to place the head unit and how to route it into the dme cover) took about 2 hours because we really took our time and triple checked everything. Started up the car and everything worked other than the "increased battery discharge" message. I ignored it since battery hat been disconnected, etc. and thought it would probably go away after driving the car for a while. I drove for about an hour and then parked the car for the night. This morning I go to work and that same message appears again when I start the car. I don't think I did anything wrong during the install. Everything was connected how and where it should be and the jb4 is definitely working. The power increase is awesome! Now if i can just find out the reason for that warning message I'll be a happy camper!

Intake and Chargepipe is the only thing installed so far.

I have searched up and down but mostly found threads unrelated to a jb4 or for N54 cars.

If using N55 ISO firmware and your water pump is staying on after you turn the car off here is a DIY on how to correct that. If not ISO then can't offer much advice. Although I think someone found if doing the OCC install you need to keep the heater element connected to prevent a similar issue.

This is the first time I've seen this fix posted. Any feedback on the forums?

Sorry I didn't read everything in detail, but did you just install it in the past few days? Has it been really cold by you?

I've been getting that message for 3 winters now, ever since I got my car, and it only happens when it is really cold. Then it goes away and I never see it again. I had the dealership check it out and they found no problems so I'm just blaming it on the cold. I hope that helps.

No it barely ever goes below 40 here. I haven't seen the warning all day yesterday though so maybe it fixed itself...

I doubt it is the JB4 unless you here your water pump running all the time after you shut down. You have been doing a lot of coding lately. I almost always get that warning after I do a bit of coding. The car really doesn't like being turned fully on without the engine running. I've found it helps to make sure the headlights are off and turning off the iDrive screen and radio.

Good call! I bet that is it. I haven't had the message yesterday or this morning so it's probably ok now. That JB4 though...seems like it's pulling harder and harder. Not sure if map 5 is still doing it's autotuning thing but I'm definitely in love!
