Headlight discoloration
So I had to replace my driver side headlight due to a collision and on seeing the new one in comparison to the old one (passenger side), I realized that the outer ring of the angel eye on the older light has gone greenish/yellow and the new one is crystal clear and white!
The lens itself doesn't look discolored (at least not to the naked eye)...any ideas what could have happened and how to fix it? I will try to take some pics tonight and post them. I have a 2009 328i sedan - LCI |

I've noticed the same issue on my car. I just ended up replacing both headlights. I think the reason why my headlights started getting yellow/ discolored was because of my xenon angel eyes. Too intense of a light, and I think it cooked the plastic. I have a pre-lci e92.

Yeah now I am trying to figure out a way how to get the older light replaced as well. Got the new one under insurance cover lol so didn't have to pay for that! Wow I didn't realize that the angel eyes are so powerful that they heat up and discolor the plastic! |

But learned that in order to do this, you have to buy cheap halogen head lights and take them apart..... Just to get the cover to your old HID adaptive headlights. Bake em. DN PS.... I am still thinking about it. |
