Upgraded turbo's
Can the likes off rb's be run without meth? And also tuned by cobb?
Reason I ask is that I'm from the uk currently fbo, but do not fancy running meth and still wanting abit more power? What sorts of power would I be looking at just using 95 oct with rb's at a relatively safe level? |

I don't have rbs but I do have Vtt stage 2 and the only way to get any additional power and to get the full potential from upgraded turbos is to either use meth or e85.

Comparing a FBO stock turbo car to a FBO RB turbo car on pump gas there will be a dramatic boost in performance. To make the absolute most of the turbos you will need to run either E85, racegas or methanol injection but if you're just looking for more power it will still work awesome.
We have tuned numerous RB/hybrid turbo cars using the Cobb Accessport and have had great success doing it. |

I don't believe that I can get hold of ethanol or race gas, the highest octane is 99 shell vpower here which is about your 95 equivalent I think,
Just weighing up some options of which route best to take really. What would you recommend? |

My recommendation is that you need to decide what your goals are.
If you are looking to make power in the mid to low 400whp range then RB turbos on 98 RON will work just fine. I would not suggest running less than 98 RON fuel if at all possible. One thing to consider is long term reliability of running N54 hybrid turbos, the factory exhaust manifold is ill suited to huge power and can be detrimental to turbo longevity when asking too much from them. If you're goals are higher than that mark you will need to start looking at larger aftermarket turbo options. Such as single turbo kits or VTT's stage 3 GTx powered kits. These kits are more expensive, however, they yield MUCH greater power potential and are likely to be more reliable when being pushed for power. |

i have these ASR stage 2 turbos for sale if you interested. we can probably get ASR to convert them into RHD since they are currently setup for LHD. just like how allen said upgrading your turbos will give you a big boost in performance & reliability, but if you wish to get the absolute most(according to ASR these are rated to 700 crank) out of them you'll need some form of higher octane. if your only going for 500 crank then i don't think your have a problem making that on just pump gas with these turbos

But as has been noted, you really need to up the boost and advance on stock frame turbos to make great numbers. That requires lots of octane. So it comes down to cost-benefit for you.

Thanks for the offer on asr's but i think it'll be a few months yet as got quite a few things to take into consideration and research up on.
What's the standard fuel system good for? |

Running pump gas(no ethanol) the factory fuel system is good to roughly 600whp. Hybrid turbos are WELL within the fuel system's limitation. 420whp-430whp is definitely a realistic goal.

I would suggest to wait for alternative in PTF and then pull the trigger!!!

Just get a pro-tune. You're going to need a flash based tune and fined tuned for your set-up and octane level.
ethanol would make it slightly easier to make your power goals. Though i believe with pump gas 420-30 Whp shouldnt be a problem. I would aim for 440-450, just because
