Coding 2Rad - sound setting not applied?
Hi,
I'm trying to code a Professional Radio (with BT & USB built in), build date 2011. It's currently coded to Logic 7 (topHifi). My car has the base system, hence I want to to get rid of L7. My car has MOST (I had MULF in the boot) & it's 2008 build. I have read loads on this but still can't get rid of the L7 I've done the following: > changed the build date in the VO (#0311) > added the various VOs to activate BT & USB > SG coderin (got the error) > SG reset = BT & USB activated But it's still L7. There isn't the L7 in my VO!? I've tried to read the 2Rad - I get the error but it places the complete cars file in the work folder...... so I can see the 2Rad settings - all the various sound options are set to stereo? So how come they are not applied to the radio? It still has TopHifi in the secret menu! I have tried to coding a blank man file to the 2Rad but still it does apply? I find it weird, you can activate the USB & BT VOs but not get rid of L7 Anyone have any ideas? Cheers |

The dealer probably can code it for you since they connect to the car with MOST. You can code 2rad on early e9x's, I am not sure what changed that it doesn't work on newer e9x's.

Technically you didn't code the module at all. The module just adapted to the VO changes of the car. The sound settings cannot be changed because the 2rad was already pre-programmed for the L7 system and that the module uses an optical connection for it's "programming state" per say. either way the K+DCan cable does not talk with the radio module at all.

That damn most connection changed everything! I'm guessing it's easier on the dealerships end though where programming is involved.
