Replace mechatronic sleeve for new version.

Hey everyone, I was trying to get the alpina transmission flash when i figured out my car was actually a 01/07 build so it didn't have the mechatronic sleeve the 03/07's 335i's had. Without that I am unable to get he flash...would I be able to get the mechatronic sleeve required and simply replace the one in mine with the new one? Let me know on the costs and if the labor itself is a DIY kind of work or if I will need to bring it in to be done.

You want to upgrade the mechtronic sleeve so you can use the Alpina flash?

The problem is that the pre 03/07 cars don't have enough storage capacity to completely write the post 03/07 software (alpina or otherwise).
Internal Capacity of the EGS computer is roughly double for the post 03/07 units.
