So. I've been living here for a while. And haven't really had much time to explore anywhere. I'm a big foodie , wanted to know where are some of the best places to go get some good food and chill.

Blue Collar on Biscayne and 67th is a place I went to recently. It's attached to a sketchy hotel but is really good. Eating House in the Gables (Ponce and 8th Street) is also really good and a chill place.

I had some of the best fried chicken and waffles at some place in Delray recently... not much help but wanted to share

I used to be a chef and graduate from Johnson & Wales... I am big into GREAT food, spirits, local brews, & wine and if its sourced locally and organic even better. Some of the best spots in my opinion are:

-YardBird / South Beach / Southern Food (GREAT Fried Chicken with Bourbon Maple Syrup)
-Harry's Pizza / Design District / Gastro Pub style Pizza High end ingredients (Short Rib Pizza)
-Swine / Coral Gables / Southern Food Pork (AWESOME DRINKS & pork shoulder slider, great mac & cheese)
-Pan con Mantequilla / Coral Gables / Gastro Pub Cuban Style
-Michael's Genuine / Design District / American Style type food
-Bulla / Coral Gables / Spanish Tapas
-Pub Belly / South Beach / Gastro Pub
-Barceloneta / South Beach or S. Miami / Spanish Tapas REALLY good stuff
-SugarCane / Midtown / Eclectic Fusion Great food and crowd on Friday
-La Camaronera / Miami / Seafood, BEST fried shrimp CASH only

I definitely second La Camaronera. That place is really good and has even been on the Food Network before.

Nowhere in Ft Myers for sure. This is one of the worst places for a foodie. You know it's pretty bad when the better places are the national chains. Miami has some great options so I head out your way every few weeks. Here are some of my suggestions:

Umami Burger- SoBe
Pub Belly- SoBe
Quattoro- SoBe
Khong River House- SoBe
Baoli- Miami Brickell. Ok, the food isn't phenomenal but the rooftop patio is great and the food & wine is super cheap.

If you're in the Dadeland Mall area look up Barley & Swine. Been really good every time I've been. Order small plates to try a lot and I definitely recommend the short rib.
