how often do u change ur oil?

i kno that bmw uses synthetic oil, and they do full service with oil change every 15k miles. just wonderin how often do u guys change oil~

The only time I paid to change it was at ~10k, which was about 8k before the computer said so. I thought I'd get the break-in oil out.

After that it's been whenever the computer tells me. Im at 36k miles now and just got my 3rd oil change (although I had to add a quart about 3k miles before the oil change).

I changed my oil at 1200 miles for a break in oil change. For now on I plan on changing it every 5,000-7,000 miles this way it will be in between the BMW scheduled oil changes.

Every 42.7 miles - BMW engineers have no idea what they are talking about. I mean, do they not know how many shvings there are from a cast aluminum block!?!?!

2nd one at 2400 after hard breakin
3rd one ... probably going to the 7500 then freebee at 15000

Exact same thing here. The 15K oil changes are for cars driven by soccer moms. I don't care if it's synthetic or not. My car is getting Mobil 1 0w-40 every 5K...
