Need help Engine Oil Filter Gasket leak

Hey guys so I just went to the BMW dealership and they told me I have a leak in my engine oil filter gasket and looked up the price for the part which was around $20-50 depending on different sites that I seen but they are charging $700 just curious to what they want done... They just keep telling me I need to look after it soon..

Search in the DIY section, or just search the Forum in general and you'll find out all you need to know. The DIY in the DIY section explains the whole problem and the fix for it. It takes a DIY'er about an hour to an hour and a half to do. $700 is way too much. Take it to an independent BMW mechanic for the next oil change and have him do it while the oil is drained. Get a coolant flush while you at it and he shouldn't charge you more than an hour's time.
