Now that 'we' are top dogs in the NFL it's probably about time we had our own thread. That and now that we are the champs I think we've out lived our tolerance on the Niner's thread, we are not the cute little 'up and comers' anymore.


So the most pressing issue in the off season for Seattle is free agency. I was surprised to see how extensive this list is:

Brandon Browner, CB

Tarvaris Jackson, QB

Very few are starters but who from that should be the priority? Mine:

Thurmond
Bennett
Baldwin
Hauschka
Tate

I think their priorities go with Baldwin, and/or Tate first, then the O-Line, then Bennett, then Hauschka. Robinson falls in here somewhere too, but I think Seattle would be silly to let SH leave, he is a really damn good kicker. Just look at how badly Prater hurt Denver on one play in the SB and you know how important that guy is to us.

Would not be surprised if Tate left for money, but I hope he stays. Very versatile player.

Baldwin had an amazing finish to the year but I don't see a lot of teams coming after him due to his size - even though I think he's worth more than he'll probably get if he stays.

O-Line definitely needs help, Wilson was sacked far too many times and after a while was running from pressure that wasn't there. However, I'm not convinced that the personnel for that are currently on the roster.

Also Hauschka is money and when the offense is sputtering we need his 3's. He's so automatic that I think we often take him for granted. Not to mention that he's not afraid to say he's not feeling it if it's not there. Not missing that Josh Brown guy at all.

we'll have speed with percy, hands with pretty much everybody, i just want that one receiver who will catch in double coverage. kearse has done well this year also.

also our o-line needs to improve. we fix that, and do the same thing we did this year, we should be in the playoffs again.

Denver will be coming to Seattle this year.. If Peyton had a hard time hearing and was forced to go to a silent count in the SB, he's in for a rude awakening visiting the C-link during the regular season.
