Tuning input
First logs I've taken after getting everything setup.
Just wanting some input on: 1. Is everything working right? IE: Meth flowing enough, boost ok or boost leak? 2. What seems off and should be adjusted? 3. Main concern is if I'm running safe. I'm using the latest Procede. 1. What items should I add to my logs for you guys to see? IE: Under the Channel Setup > Logged Channels, what items should I put in there to log? 2. How would you like that data? IE: Screenshot (with what info in it) or the .cvs file? 3. How should I do the 'run'? IE: 1st gear through 3rd gear? Just 1 gear? Etc. Warning: I don't know what I should be looking for, what good numbers would look like for things like timing, or how the boost curve should look, or how much Meth should be flowing, etc etc. See mods in Sig. I attached an image and some .csv files to get started. Let me know what other info you might need in my logs. Thanks a million!!!

Need:
Boost RPM Throttle Intake Air Temp Actual Ignition Advance Fuel trim Bank 1 and 2 Air Fuel Ratio I also recommend uploading to Datazap.me otherwise nobody will likely comment. 3rd gear pull, wide open throttle. 2500 RPM to redline. Traction Control Off. Safe location. |

Exactly what I needed to know Jeff!! Thanks.
But how about Methanol? I was having issues with my setup and want to verify it's flowing enough/correctly. Should I log Methanol Flow and Methanol %? That will take up too many channels so what should I swap out from your list when logging specifically for Methanol? Last edited by halcyon026; 02-12-2014 at 07:36 PM.. |

If you are out of "slots" I would swap out charge air temp depending on where you live. If you have meth flowing in the middle of winter, that won't be a concern unless you are running the car stupid hard.
What other values are you currently logging? And please use datazap, PROcede and JB native logging is terrible.

I looked at the logs you attached and they look pretty solid. You have 10-15% difference in your bank 1 and 2 trims which could be from uneven meth distribution or from one bank's injectors performing better than the other. Judging by the logs, your meth kit appears to functioning correctly and the car seems to be pretty happy.
Even with ignition correction off on the meth map, the procede will still pull 1 degree of timing from 6000 RPMs to redline. PM me if you want me to tell you how to disable that. There probably won't be a greatly noticeable difference, but it may help a little on the top end. |

Thank you for the input!! I'm interested in knowing more about the 1 degree timing change. I'll PM you.

Some might seem obvious but I want to double check. If someone could please verify exactly which option(s) to select. Boost: 'CAN DME Boost Target', 'CAN DME Boost Actual', 'Boost DC Correction': RPM: Throttle: 'Throttle' and 'CAN DBW Throttle': Intake Air Temp: 'Inlet Air Temp': Actual Ignition Advance: 'Ign Advance', 'CAN Actual Ign Adv', 'CAN DME Ign Adv': Fuel trim Bank 1 and 2: 'Fuel Trim' and 'CAN Fuel Trim Bank 1', 'CAN Fuel Trim Bank 2': Air Fuel Ratio: 'CAN Actual AFR Bank 1', 'CAN Actual AFR Bank 2': Thanks!

So it's best to log the appropriate channels depending on your goals. The most important is CAN Actual Ignition, CAN Fuel Trim, CAN Actual Boost, CAN AFR Bank 1 or 2 and RPM for starters. When you really want to dive into the details of how your car is performing the other parameters can be looked into. CAN DME Boost Actual CAN DBW CAN Actual Ignition CAN Fuel Trim 1 and 2 CAN Fuel Trim 1 and 2 You may end up with too many sensors at once so basically just do 1 AFR Bank and 1 Fuel trim Bank You only need to look at both if their is a large discrepancy between the 2. Good questions though. |

Months later..... I finally have logs.
http://www.datazap.me/u/halcyon026/r...log=0&data=1-5 http://www.datazap.me/u/halcyon026/r...log=2&data=1-5 This is an Automatic so I'm not WOT until about 4k RPM. I notice boost drops off as RPM's go up. Is this normal/correct? I am set to go to 18 lbs of boost. CAN DME boost actual is showing I don't go over 14 lbs. Is this normal/correct? I also notice that fuel trims for bank 1 and 2 look very different. Normal/correct? Methanol Injector % starts tapering off just after 6100 RPM. Is this normal/correct? Thanks for any input on this guys!!

Let me guess, vishnu flashed your DME? They sure do like their customers running rich AFRs, and your trims are all whacked. First thing to do is a LTFT and STFT reset, and relog.

I did notice people also saying to reset lambda, fuel adaptation, LTFT, and STFT using INPA. Do I want to reset all of those? Happen to know of a DIY guide that explains how to do each of these, what order, what to do after the resets, etc? I see a lot of different info about running rough after and some say unhook the battery, some say reflash your map, some say push the throttle to WOT 4 times... I'm lost! Thanks a lot for the help!

Yes, you can those with the procede, but LTFT can only be reset with INPA.
Make sure you are running the correct maps for the procede, compatible with your vishnu flash. Do a few pulls after loading those maps and resetting adaptations, and then relog. If it were me, I'd demand vishnu put my DME back to stock, since more convienient at-home flashing solutions exist now, and everyone seems to have problems with the vishnu flash. Besides, your stock bin is gone now, and you don't have a copy. |

I'm still trying to figure out how to reset fuel adaptations with INPA.
Could I just flash to one of the at-home flashes you're talking about without involving Vishnu? Last time I had them flash my DME they had the DME for over a week & I can't be without a car that long. BTW, which at-home flashes are you speaking of?

See attached image.
On this screen what do I delete? People say to delete "lambda", "fuel adaptations", "LTFT", and "STFT". I see 2 items with lambda. I'm wanting to delete all 'Fuel Adaptations'... I'm just not sure which items on this screen that would be, or if there's also another screen with items I need to delete. I've also read there may be a certain order you do this in and to also clear the ECU? Any input would be awesome!
