Help. Opening trunk with no power! Battery disconnected

Ok, disconnected my battery due to addition of V2.

Accidentally the trunk closed. Now what?

How the hell do I open it? Great!

Any ideas?

There is a keyhole up under the trunk handle. Remove the key from the fob, insert into keyhole, turn and voila!

Ok now we have a problem. What happens if your battery dies, and you need to jump it, crap.

You can jump start it from the engine bay. You don't need to get to the battery.

Are you aware that your remote has a key in it?

THe key only works for the doors, not the trunk for some reason when the power is off. Car finally opened.

You have to twist very hard to get the trunk open, I know because my battery died and I don't have a door keyhole.

hmmm, twist very hard. I tried that to the point where i almost broke my key. But its good to know for future reference.

I called bmw assist, they where useless, should of known. They wanted to tow away my 2 day old v2 procede to the stealership. They are crazy.

Dilemma is over. Thanks for all your morale support guys, i got thru it.

LOL the key only turns one way.

I tried again right now. Still no luck, feels like the key is about to break, no need for that now.

It works. I too disconnected my battery and shut the trunk. I had to push the key to the limit to open the trunk. The important thing is to pull upwards on the trunklid in frustration while turning the key...you will have to turn the key a smidgen less
