Two different Akebono PNs?
I'm shopping for replacement pads/rotors and came upon two different part numbers for what appear to be similar Akebono pads.
Any insight into which is correct or any difference between the two? http://www.discountbrakes.com/shop/?...=Brand-Akebono 'Preesh, -PW |

I would replace the rotors with brembo's and pads with Akebono.
You should go to the manufacture's website for each and get an exact part no. Brembo also makes a part app. Amazon has Akebono for cheap. Brembo rotors can be found on eBay: just make sure you get them from a power seller and the like. Midwest auto parts is one. As far as hardware, beck and Arnley is a good non-BMW option for retention springs and what not. |

Thanks, the Akebono site isnt too helpful, but a little more digging shows the proper PN for the fronts is 1061, rears are 1170. I'm going with Zimmerman/OEM for the fronts. Concerning the hardware kit, what comes in it? I am preparing to order oem pad clips and some extra bits from Tischer but more for an emergency if I cant reuse existing hardware. |
