In general, coilovers are difficult to install in the E9x models. The E9x shock is sooo---> freakin long! If it was just an inch or so shorter, it would much easier to remove.

coilovers are seriously super easy to install if you know what you are doing and especially if they are already assembled. people talk about how this car is hard, or that car is hard or whatever... but its not. suspension designed hasn't exactly a whole lot in the last 25 years... it's pretty much 1 of 3 designs on any car. i mean, my shop tried to quote me 4 hours to install coilovers on my S2000 and i did it in an hour and 15 mins in my garage with a friend. i did my E46 in about 2 hours and an evo's in 45 mins. working on cars is easy as long as you have the right tools.

Everything I've heard is they are a BITCH on these cars. We'll find out...I think I'm going to have mine installed though. Just not sure if I want to do anymore suspension work. Done plenty with my e46's.
