Really? I thought the stock 5.0 runs mid 12's. A tune and downpipe should be enough for that. Maybe E85 to lock it in?

So what gives? OP should be running strong into the 12's with tune + dp. Modded GT's are fast. Was it modded?

Must have been. The one time I lost to a mustang, it was from a dig and all I had was a dp, and intake.. but I pulled slightly on a 30 roll. After the jb4, its no competition.

Maybe not, but the fact the Stang even tried to pull on him lends itself to the idea that Stang was modified.

His 335 is completely stock. He wanted to know what he'll need to beat a 5.0.

I'm pretty sure with a good tune alone you would win. The 0-60 times are close to each other stock (4.7 bmw ad 4.3-4.5 with a perfect driver for the ford). I'm pretty sure with a tune you would win.

I know when i test drove a 2013 5.0 it felt considerably slower than my COBB stage 1 tuned 335...

Thumbs up Smoke 'em

I took out a new GT500 with my 2011 335xi - Vishnu tune v3 only. Car is 6AT, and stock other than the tune, just burning 91 premium with no EtOH. I don't know if he was running a mod or not.

He started it. I finished it. Shoulda seen the look on his face. If he didn't have a mod, I'm guessing he's looking into getting one! LOL.

I figure I'm pushing 0-60 in about 4.3 - that X-drive really puts the power to the asphalt.
Haven't run it on a dyno yet...
I can feel when that turbo really kicks in and whines, it's like hitting the nitro button.
