Screen blank - backlight on, radio works
A few weeks back I shut the car off, ran into the store, and when I restarted the screen flickered and went completely black - never to return. 2007 335i JB4v5
The radio and all CD/ipod/bluetooth functions still work and I can use the CCC knob to navigate any controls by memory. I've tried resetting it by holding the power/eject buttons with no luck (sometimes I'll see vague lines - hinting towards dead pixels). Battery has also been disconnected for long periods of time with nada Just looking to get pointed in the right direction. Do I buy an ebay screen hoping to score, is the CCC unit fried (located driver side back??), do I need a software update/dealer reset? I'm lost and have no way to pull codes or diagnose...is it time for me to pick up a INPA/Ediabas interface? Thanks ahead of time Last edited by j2da; 02-16-2014 at 07:14 PM.. Reason: model and year |

UPDATE - car went to dealer and diagnosed with a bad CCC.
Now looking into either buying/coding a used CCC or going with the CIC upgrade from bmwretrofit. Any thoughts? - I'm new to it all when it comes to coding but considering going with DCAN cable and diving in |
