Bmw performance suspension / supreme power

Hi everyone , I'm a new member , but I have been watching for several months .
I just recently purchased a certified preowned 2011 328i base sedan . I wanted to do some suspension work on the car both to improve the handling and to lower the car a little . I did not want to go too low just reduce the gap (2") in the front .That's where you guys came in . I learned a lot about all the different choices on here and now feel that I need to contribute to the info seeing how it helped me so much . I looked at eibach , h&r , bilstein , coilover , springs , etc ,etc . I was also worried about maintaining my warranty . I decided to go with the factory performance suspension and with the pricing available from one of this sites sponsors it made the choice easier . The kit is a little bit more than some of the other choices but I believe this kit is much more complete , considering that it also came with a front stabilizer bar , all new related hardware , bushings , boots , etc. I was worried that this kit would not lower the car enough after reading other reviews on here . I wanted to lower the car about 1-1/4" in the front and was reading that the kit would only drop car about 3/4" in front . In my research I found some after market strut mount plates that would lower the car a 1/2" just by allowing the front springs to be located higher in the chassis . 3/4" + 1/2" = 1-1/4" . I want to run 19" wheels and this would be the perfect drop , with 19's I should end up with a 1/4-1/2" gap in front . I took a chance and had both of these items installed and the drop was almost exactly 1-1/4" ! So I believe that the kit was responsible for 3/4" of this drop and the plates were responsible for the 1/2" as advertised . The ride and handling of this setup is awesome so far , very good everyday driver , the drop is very sutle maybe just a tad lower than the factory sport suspension . I wish it was a little lower in the rear but after I put the 19's on it should be passable . So thanks to all of you for the great info , I hope this helps someone else . I highly recommend this setup . I had it installed locally and paid $300.00 , still have to align after settling . Thanks again .
