Which xenon bulbs - 4300k or 5000k

Need to replace a blown xenon D1S headlight bulb on 2006 e90 sport and will replace both so they look the same.
Not sure whether to go with Osram 4300k or Osram 5000k?
I think the 4300k was OEM but the original bulbs seemed to lack the crispness. Not sure if the 5000k will look too blue (cheap HID kit sort).
The Osram 5000k are around 40gbp more than the 4300k.
Need to make a decision soon....

Any help?

Stick with oem 4300k!

5k won't look too blue at all but £40 extra for bluer tint is mad in my mind!
4300k is higher light output than 5k anyway just colour difference!

The Osram CBI Xenarc bulbs are the brightest, whitest bulbs on the market. They are the bulbs used on all the top end cars you see on the street now like the merc s class, bentleys, etc... They are PURE WHITE with the output of 4300k

But they do cost a lot!!!

They are about 20% brighter than the other best bulbs on the market.

Think I'll stick with the 4300k. Will the osrams be whiter than the standard BMW 4300k xenons?

Go 5000k or 6000k. Peoowle talk of less light ouput higher the k rating. This is typically true........ but that said even at 6000k a xenon light will still produce 3 times the lumens of a halogen. When its put into truw context you wont even be able to tell the difference. I never keep the yellowish 4300k bulbs in any xenon i own as quite frankly it looks like a glorified halogen.

go with the 5k's dude. Youll stand out from all the candle coloured xenons around.

So the osram 4300k will be exactly the same as what came in the car from factory? I thought they would be a bit brighter than the oem xenons??

Anything with a yellow tint looks like its from the 1949's and doesnt look expensive ir xenoniso why buy them as an option.

6000k is the clisest colour to actual daylight. Check a spectrum. Day light is nice white. 4300k is yellow tinge same as a haligen bulb that is typically 3700k.

Standard oem 4300k bmw xenon looks nothing like a halogen!

That looks close to white, mine certainly do!

I recently replaced mine too

See, no yellow in sight!

Thats looks like a tinge of yellow to me. Most people dont notice till they out them against a 609k how yellow they are.

Looks pretty white to me, certainly nothing like halogen as you mentioned above!

Sure 6k will look blue but on average it's 500-1000 lumens less output than a 4300k.

Now personally, I would rather get the best out of my lights than them look cool, let's face it, nobody else who looks at your car gives a f*ck what kelvin temp your bulbs are!

Does the output and colour not also depend on the bulb? Hence my question about the osrams. And would a 5000k have that much blue ?

The 5k osrams, admittedly will be better!

I have osram xenarc 4300k, but not the cbi ones!

They are the only ones I would change for, however they are £70 a bulb hence why I suggested it was not worth it.
