6000k d1s and 6000k hid fogs installed E92. Pics and Vids

So i ended up ordering the 6000k d1s bulbs and the 6000k hid fog lights from Creative Autoworks...
The fog lights gave me errors automatically and they constantly flickered. My installer then decided to try addidng a capacitor. That definitely did the job of stopping the flickering. It also too away the error message but only for a short while...
We proceeded at installing and closing everything up. When i left the shop there was no errors... Later on that evening errors started showing up and it goes away after about 5 seconds and does not come back unless you turn off the car or turn off the fogs and turn them back on...
You can see exactly what i'm talking about in the video i uploaded.
The 6000k d1s headlight bulbs look great as well and is a definite must in my opinion.
All in all i am very satisfied...
By the way my Angels are Gp Thunder's 8500k

Sorry for the Huge Pics...

Here is the link to the Video :

Well honestly the pictures don't do justice at all...
The colors match perfectly in person... Don't forget though that the headlights are projectors so the projection of the light is a little different...
Scroll up to the first post i added the link to the video i made...

Glad you like how it looks. This lighting has that "supercar" look I was always looking for. The picture does not match how it looks in real life but I like it nevertheless!

I am really surprised you had some issues with the fogs. Mine worked without any capasitors at all.

Ya the look is exactly the "supercar" look... Just what i was looking for. Couldn't be happier...
In terms of the fogs , well ya it sux that its giving me errors and that i had to spend extra $$ on the capacitor but at the end of the day it works and the error goes away after 5 seconds... So i can live with it... But i'll definitely be calling James up because it ain't error free as he states it is.

thanks for the pics man they got me thinking. the oem bmw setup the halos are a bit yellow while the light is white so the halos stick out.

i too was thinking about a whole 6k setup but now im thinking get 6k for fogs, d1s, and corner and have a higher k halo like 8k to make it stand out or vice versa.

same waiting for mds on the lux for e92 and even the umnitza bulbs from jlevi.

if the lux is 6k like mds said it most likely will be im thinking of going rest 4500k or 5k. so halos bright and standing out while the others are a bit dim. or vice versa going into the 7+k range. 8k lights with 6k halos would look pretty nice too.

The Kelvin (K) rating has nothing to with the brightness of the light (measured in Lumens). The Kelvin is a scale of color temperature, the higher the color temp, the closer to the blue / violet side of the color spectrum. As you climb up the Kelvin scale in xenon lighting, you tend to lose light output. For example, if you switch your 4300K stock bulb to a 6000K bulb, you lose about 15-25% of the light output depending on the quality of the bulb.

So your plan wouldn't work coz the lumens output for LED (mds82's solution) is different from xenon lights.

Ya i ended up going with 6000's instead of 8000's ....
Honestly the error doesn't bother me at all. It lasts a total of 3 seconds and then goes away completely. No signs of errors whatsoever after that.
