Screeching/Squealing sound while driving

While driving with my windows down today I noticed a very high pitched screeching sound coming from what seemed to be my back wheels. I was driving straight and when I applied brake it would get a little louder. Also, when I turned the sound would increase as well.

Any idea what it could be? I've heard something about it possibly being the wear sensor? I have no clue what could be causing it.

Sounds like what I had, like a metallic squealling noise? Sounds like bad brakes but it makes the noise when you're not touching the brakes? It was my brake pad sensor...

Is there any way to replace it without replacing the whole pad?

Yeah they're separate from the pad but if your pads are worn out just wait til you change your pads. It's only like 20 bucks in parts . FYI its Only one sensor per side one in front and one in rear
