wheel cleaner

since I bought my car there has been some dirty black marks on the wheels that I cant shift , can anybody suggest anything , so far am thing of re spraying them as a last resort

As was said above, CarPro IronX and TarX, along with Sonax Full Effect wheel cleaner are great for getting rid of some really stubborn brake dust and contamination on wheels. Keep in mind that you may have to do a few thorough cleaning sessions with one or all products mentioned in order to get some stuff out.

Another option is a clay bar to try and remove some stuck on contamination, but if the wheels are painted it's better to try and remove it with proper chemicals rather than abrading away the clear coat.

Do you have any photos of the wheels? Hopefully you can get it all off as sometimes wheels get to the point where they just can't be saved without a refinishing job.
