Help with spacers?
Going to put my winter wheels on BBS RE 18x8 all the way around. I beleve the offset is 35. I like the way that the front looks but the back looks like the wheels are tucked in. Any advice on what size to get was thinking about getting H&R's...

+1, but I would go for RE spacers. Used their 15mm spacers before and had no problem with them at all....

I have 12mm RE spacers on the rear of my car and its perfect. FYI mine are 18x8.5 37 ET with 235s. They could be out further but I use the spacers on my summer wheels as well and didnt want to be rubbing.

I had the 15mm H&R spacers with no issues. They are all the same FWIW. Those look like really small 18's though. They wont really help with the gap.

Go with 15mm spacers - H&R spacers are pretty awesome cant go wrong there.

I just put my winters on, and wasn't liking the tucked look on the rear wheels, but the tire guys were like "No, don't put spacers on! Bad idea!" They claim if you're trying to plough through snow, the front wheels are making a groove and making it easier for the rear wheels to follow. If you push out the rear wheels with a spacer, they won't follow in the same channel. Or you use spacers in front too to keep the wheels in line, but then you've got a wider stance which is not ideal when driving through snow. (snowshoe effect) All this made sense to me, so I decided to live with the tucked look for winter and check out spacers for my summer set.

I run only H&R spacers on my car, and wouldn't go with anything else, as long as they have my size. I also run TMS studs on my car, which makes changing wheels/spacers/etc easier. Plus I believe it is safer. It is pretty cheap, so it is a nice investment, while you are already in there taking your wheels off.
Let me know if you need help on getting the correct stud lenghts for your car, or if you have any other questions that isn't specific to your set up. It is really on you to decide or know how much of a spacer your car can use. |

Best pictures I have for the moment, With the wheels packed with snow. The fronts are the normal offset, and the rears are 12mm RE spacers. The tires are 235/40R18 all the way around.

Clear as mud ... er ... snow, Park. Any issues with your spacers? Is tracking in the snow/rain the only knock on spacers or are there other potential issues?

Dont have any driving issues. 24mm is not noticeable by anybody but me, and other car fans. Like I said, its almost exactly the same width as the front. I dont use them for my track days, but driving on the street havent had any problems.

Personnaly since you don't have mudflaps I would consider no spacers at all. You want that "tucked in" look IOT protect your paint as much as you can. If you don't care about sand blasting the sides of your car then you can go ahead with spacers.

Ill get some more pictures for you, because the rear tires are still inside the fenders. 12mm isnt going to push them out far enough to worry.
