Butter chicken curry spilled all over my car!!!

Buddy of mine was hosting a party, asked me if i would pick up some of the catering food with my car and bring it back. Worst idea of my life. While driving there my sensor went off stating that my seatbelt wasn't working properly. ( i put the seatbelt on the food so it wouldn't fly everywhere). When I got to the house i noticed there was curry EVERYWHERE. The seats on the floor, inside the seatbelt (my seatbelt doesnt work anymore).

So my question is. What's the best way to get rid of the stains? Any good products? Also how do i make the sensor stop going off on me.

Sorry to hear about your accident. It is definitely a pain to see curry everywhere. Do you have leather or cloth seats? If it's leather, I recommend a good Leather Cleaner and Leather Conditioner to protect it from future accidents. It gently gets rid of stains. As for the cloth parts, I recommend our Carpet Cleaner. I would agitate the cloth parts with a soft brush, after applying the cleaner, to lift away the stains. Let me know if I could help with anything else!

Use a naan and basmati rice, of course.

Seriously, I am sorry to hear about the spill. I can identify because I always get nervous when I have to transport takeout/takeaway food in my car. So easy to tip over or seep through the bag. The leather seats should be okay - hopefully you wiped up butter chicken right away. Then you can use a leather cleaner and conditioner. Maybe steam clean the carpet with a handheld unit?

Could it be that the seatbelt sensor went off because the object in the seat (food) was too light even though the belt was buckled, and therefore the passenger airbag was disabled as a safety measure. I noticed this happening in my previous cars when my wife sat on the seat leaning sideways.

The stains should come out easily but the smell, not so much.

Sorry to say I laughed at this thread and the posts. But only because of curry errywhere. I feel your pain, this happen to me a while back with same dam butter chicken. What I learned is scrub that shit out of non leather areas with carpet cleaner or something a pro would reccomend. Leather same procedure you have to clean out leather and condition it (the smell of leather condition and cleaner helps a lot). Clean out as much curry as you can it will be in tons of little spots get down and dirty to get it. Air out your car as much as you can before applying leather cleaner it helped me get smell to go away quicker and be replaced by leather cleaner smell. The smell won't linger forever just make sure you get it all out.

I used a turtle product for carpet scrubbing need to find it. Then spot remover to get smell out of carpets. Zaino products for dash and leather. After I cleaned all curry and aired out I used zanio products and let it circulate with doors closed and curry smell was very faint then eventually went away

OP has to drive with windows down and with sun roof opened at 140 mph everyday for 7 days to get rid of that curry smell
