I just realized that what used to be called Logic in the 2007 3 series is now called "Premium Hi-Fi" in the 2008 3 series. Did they upgrade the sound system, or is it the same thing with a different name.

Anyways, I'm getting the 335 which comes with this system. How does everyone like it? Has anyone compared it to the stock system on the 328? Does the premium system make much of a difference?

I've had Bose in my car, and I love it. Not sure what to expect with BMW's Premium Hi-Fi. All comments are appreciated.

But I have not heard when they are actually going to be introduced to the 3 series.

However, what you've seen may very well be the same Logic 7 as it is a "Premium Hi-Fi" system.

depends if you're an audiophile or not.

most people would agree that the stock system is good enough. i haven't heard the stock so i can't say much for it but i absolutely love my logic7. sounds are crystal clear. bass hits good. don't get me wrong. i don't bump my system extremely loud but i do like to turn it up a bit. plus you can adjust the equalizer to your liking.

If you thought Bose was good you'll freaking love the Logic-7 assuming it's the same creature as the "Premium Hi-Fi". Much Much Better, cleaner tighter, and truer.


Of course you are going to have the bleeding edge Audio cultists out there espousing the benefits of 10 Gauge purified and balanced copper wire etc... telling you how horrible the OEM system is. Let them tinker with their toys, buy the Upgraded OEM Sound and enjoy, be happy, sounds great and comes with a warranty... Not Some tool shed outfit with a Bass drunken installer wiring up 12" Subs in Civics...

Ignore the wing-nuts unless you are 18 or an "Audiophile" Term used loosely when discussing mobile audio...
