e90 brake caliper color decision

Im going to powder coat my calipers before the summer and am looking for some thoughts/suggestions. I've searched the forums extensively and know most of the responses im going to get bc i still have my OEM calipers and dont plan on spending the money for upgraded ones. I have gunmetal TSW nurburgrings which i love but want to add a little color to my car. I wasnt planning on 'blacking' out the car but i dont like the chrome so i have new gloss black grilles on the way and have plans to vinyl wrap the chrome trim gloss black as well. So while most will suggest black calipers i was hoping to do something more creative. My powder coater has an awesome burnt orange color that he likes and would work with my saddle brown interior but im really thinking i would like a shade of blue. any thoughts or pictures would be appreciated thanks!

Also I know it needs a drop but im hesitant living in northeast pa the roads are shit.

Without a drop and without an upgrade, I wouldn't be trying to make the stock calipers stand out. Silver-Gray.

Silver/gray like stock. A really faint gold color works well too. Not brembo gold, but something very subtle. Red calipers are only reserved for brembo

I also think it should be subtle: gray or black.

Call me crazy, but I think white might look really good. That's probably the first time I've ever suggested painting anything white, too - I just think it'd compliment the gunmetal and black really nicely without looking flashy or tacky. Even when they get dirty, they'll just look more or less the muted gray they are now.

I vote for a gray similar to this:

do you have a picture of your set up with black calipers? i just feel like the whole car is gonna be black then because after a week the wheels look darker with all the brake dust. no votes for blue? im thinking maybe like an anthracite if i go gray. thanks for the input guys.

I wouldn't go crazy to rice your e90 out without making aggressive upgrading decisions first. Drop, black out the trims, Mtech aesthetics, etc. Then, maybe you can look into doing something different.

I don't ever recommend painting brakes other than gray, silver, or black though.

If you're using the iPhone app go to the settings and set the picture size to iPhone or lower to make them a nice size.

IMO redo the OEM grey look or black, I really dislike colored calipers that don't come stock. Ferrari, Lamborghini, etc. can have colored calipers but I just don't think they look right on an E90, it's just too much of a 'normal' car if you know what I mean.

i say either gold or red. I think I'm going to be doing red to match the tail lights this summer.

Personally, my car is Jet Black and i added touches of blue in the headlights and other places. I painted my calipers blue as well and love them. If you have a color scheme in mind go for it but if you aren't adding the color anywhere else then go with a more subtle one. If you want blue, maybe go with a darker blue that doesn't stand out.

i was trying to check out your car i did really liked the look. i was thinking a darker blue not sure where else to add it though. Can you pm me some pictures of your car or post them.

im not totally against gray or black and as expected its the most common suggestion i just wanted to change things up a little without going to crazy into the mods yet.

i have been seriously considering doing my wheels this color but the bronze suggestions have made me think it would look good as the calipers. It'll most likely just look black right away anyway.

I'd make it a priority to get rid of that rust building up on your rotors first.

Get you some ceramic pads to eliminate that brake dust.

vht high temp caliper paint is a hood alternative. it withstands temps up to 900 degrees and does not flake or fade. the finish is as good as powder coating. .
