Bilstein B12 Prokit
Hey all
I have a b12 prokit awaiting figment. I'm going to do this myself but I am unsure how much a straight swap will through out the alignment/geometry..if at all? Does anyone have any input/experience. I am getting the geo setup but really need to know if it will be drivable after fitting. Answers on a postcard please Cheers Dan |

You can drive afterwards ,the alignment should stay about the same if you not going very low .

if your changing the arms, you want to be getting it booked in for alignment straight away, as the alignment will be properly away to fcuk!
also, if you have Xenon's you don't need to do anything to the lights as long as you reattach the level sensor to the arms. |

All fitted. Took longer than expected but it's all on including new front control arms.
Booking her in for a full geo setup this week hopefully. Took her out for a quick spin, couldn't resist, first impressions are; firm but smooth and quiet. The standard stuff that came off was...well after 100k..completely knackered. The rear dampers didn't even extend once pushed in. For those that are looking to fit this kit make sure you observe the "instructions" as there are OE bits you have to keep and reuse. The strange thing is the lack of bump stop on the front shocks, the Bilsteins are about 3x as thick mind. Will get some pics tomorrow. |
