Chrome Door Trim Popped Off

Anyone know if there's something here to keep the trim in?
It just pops back out after pushing it back in.
This is the passenger rear door on an e90.

I have the same issue on the passenger side. Did you find a solution for this?

Also having the same issue on e90 front passenger door. I was going to possibly try tackling it this weekend. Maybe take the whole trim piece off and replace with new double sided tape. Or possibly just use some adhesive caulk

The way it had separated, I don't believe it's possible to put it back in place. The rear piece is $40 and is an easy DIY that shouldn't take more than an hour. It's not even worth the time to mess with the old one.

Trust me on this. I tried to fix mine after the bodyshop screwed it up. Replacing it would have saved me 2 hours of futility.

I used adhesive yeah. It fit in some places, and in others it just wouldn't pop back in. It's held over the winter and washes.

Not even sure how it separated. Was cleaning the inside opened up the passenger door, then pop.
