Nice numbers! It's rare to see anyone get pro-tuned with Stage 1 mods.

How much HP gain did you get from baseline to pro-tune?

From Stock to Protune i received a gain of 103TQ & 46HP / reason why i did this is because i am still undecided if i will be doing an intercooler / charge pipe down the line

I'm in MA can you tell me more about the service they provided? I'm confused I thought COBB comes with a map or two. What made you go with Brenntuning? I imagine they did a custom tune for you similar to the service PTF provides?

Anyone know how these numbers match up to PTF and what they're putting out for our N55? My buddy's got an N54 e85 map from them that'll make you go from six to midnight to hear him tell it.

A protuned car will make more power than an OTS map. It gives the ability to tweak things here and there. The cobb it's maps are a good start, but the protune is the best bet.

OP I would definitely get the downpipe, that's where the biggest gains are. I got my n55 xdrive protuned with just the downpipe and made 340/385.

It sounds exactly the same in the cabin of the car. I'm a e92 so I think it's louder than the e90 due to less cats from the factory.

Are you sure that's accurate? I've always been under the impression that the n55s had no secondary cats in the mid pipes regardless of it being a sedan or coupe.

I wish I had secondary cats on my E90 N55. I'm surprised your car has it. Must be a special edition model.

I am new to understanding the dyno numbers. So when you say stock reads 255 hp and 255 tq, this is obviously less than the "advertised" numbers from BMW with are 300hp and whatever tq. Is the reason the stock numbers are showing less due to the loss of power through the drivetrain?

In other words, the quoted 300hp from BMW is the theoretical hp number and the 255hp is the real power that gets to the wheels?

Advertised numbers by car manufacturers are listed as BHP. That is the reading from the flywheel.

Not 100% entirely sure either, i believe the 300hp / 300tq is just the power to the crank, not to the wheels, don't take my word on it though

Are you sure that it's not a resonator that you removed? Pretty sure n55 does not have secondary cats regardless of it being an e92 or e90.

Edit: It is just the xdrive models that have secondaries.

You're right, car manufacturers measure power at the crank not at the wheels. So the 300hp is at the crank.
