Just installed jb4 now have misfires

Hey guys! I installed my jb4 last night and it was successful pretty hard for first time but I got it down as soon as I start up my car I get the famous ses light so I take it out for a spin on map 1 and my car starts to misfire like crazy and stutter and when I slow down to a stop it stutters for a bit then stops could that be my spark plugs? Because coils are new I replaced them about 500 miles ago all 6 as soon as I put my car on map 0 it drives fine a little misfire but it's not as bad as when it's on map 1 and if it is spark plugs does the deal sell them pre gapped because I don't want to mess with gaping them

Bosch plugs come gapped. Try map 4 , which is stock map and see if you still get SES.

Alright cool I will but do you think it's spark plugs? I really hope it is...

If all wired correctly and board not bought used, then plugs will be your first step.

I had the same issue and it turned out to be a coil pack. If you have a scan tool or go to a car parts store you can get the codes read and figure it out.

Plugs, coils, injectors. That should be your order for diagnosing the problem and it's the most cost effective way of making sure you're kept up with basic maintenance.

The tune isn't generally the cause of the misfire, it's the worn components that can't handle the extra stress.

That's your answer right there. I've gone through plugs, coil packs, and 3 injectors. Car runs buttery smooth with the updated injector from BMW.

Start with plugs first and the coil packs. Run the codes on your laptop with the USB connector. You can swap coil packs to see if it follows to the other cylinder. Also , if you are stage 2 I normally run Map 5, auto tuning. Seems to be the most consistent.
