Intercooler - Dinan vs. ER?
I am looking at upgrading the intercooler in my 2011 e90 335i. Basically, the price is the same for both units. I like them both and looking for some input to help me decide.
If there is another similar quality intercooler that I should be looking at, please let me know. Thanks as always.....

I have a Dinan intercooler and it is amazing- my temps always stay on the cooler side, even under spirited driving conditions at the height of the summer season.
Do you have other Dinan stuff on your car? |

I have the Dinan Stage II Software at present. Dinan has a sale for the month of March and in speaking with them, they can do even more on the price.

I am going to put my car on the dyno in April as I want to see exactly how this Stage II compares to some of the numbers beginning to come out of Cobb. Especially interested in the Custom Tuning offered by PTF. I am thinking that make be a better way to go long term that drive towards the Dinan Stage III. I don't need the oil cooler and that would be an unnecessary expense.

ER no question about it
Dinan is overpriced and i still have not seen one of their products worth the crazy high price they sell it for.

here is a screenshot i cant find any data posted on Dynan website. And by the way the statement i made is a general one about Dinan not FMIC specific (ironically their FMIC has a reasonable price compared to their other products).

Also consider the ETS intercooler. I have been using the 5" model (drop-in replacement for stock) for going on two years now with good results on and off track.

How does the VRSF compare? They have a pretty good name in the Mitsu circles and they are by far the cheapest. They seem to be pretty solid from what I have seen.

The ER FMIC is amazing. I've never had any heat soak and the quality is impeccable.

Running ER here... No problem with it... Dinan will cost more but I personally go with performance/quality rather than sales pitches of how great a product is...

I'm contemplating VRSF also. Still doing research on the product and customer service before I make my decision. I'm very particular on who I give my money to
