Stett Intake System
I am considering a Stett CAI Intake system.
http://www.shop.stettperformance.com...sc?productId=1 Anyone own one or have a dyno test on it or is there a thread that compares it to an AFE inclosed CAI. I have done the research on DCI vs CAI and no question CAI is the way to go, if money is not an option. Cooler temps = more horsepower and perhaps better gas mileage. Pros and cons?? Please Advise...... |

honestly i saw just modify and improve your stock intake.
not saying its bad, but i have a deep hatred for couplers being used for bends.

I'd generally avoid STETT. That's just my opinion.

Mr. 5's setup was thoroughly tested against DCI's and stock. If I had to pick anything besides DCI's, it would be his setup. But the sounds my twins make spooling with those DCI's is intoxicating so that's not gonna happen.

Just get either the DCI's or the AFE sealed intake if you feel like spending a little more cash. OR you can get the Dinan CAI if you ran out of ways to waste your money.
I'm not even sure if Stett is still making their CAI... |

I had the Stett intake. It was a great intake and kept IAT's down while the car sat in traffic better than DCI's do.
I got rid of it because I about had a panic attack during a flash flood that I was going to hydrolock and figured it really wasn't worth it for the minimal gains it offered. |

The AFE Stage 2 SI (closed sealed intake) is arguably the best aftermarket "cool" air intake. Member BuraQ did some good data and testing with the intake and found very positive results. Since it takes air in from the front grill and not as much from the engine bay it is the closest thing to a cold air intake without having a filter down by the fog light area. |
