Airbag warning light - Aberdeen

Hey folks.

Just fitted an m-sport steering wheel to my car and the airbag and seatbelt warning light have come on.

Seems I need to go to a dealer to pay for this to be reset... (never mentioned this on my of the DIY's!!)

Anyone know of anyone in the Aberdeen area that might be able to help with this?

Dave

Hi V.

I ended up buying a cable with software off e-bay for £25 so reset the warning myself. and now I have a cable if I have any issues in the future.

did you have the ignition on when doing the change?

ignition should remain off at all times until the new bag is reattached.

Very helpful!

I had the battery disconnected but a cable had popped out when fitting the airbag which I did not notice. Hence when I re-connected the battery the warning light came on.

Yep me too, battery disconnected. I have a funny feeling a cable has popped off the airbag too but won't know until I get the light rest on Saturday. Hopefully it's a quick cheap fix - I've got more toys to be spending my money on
