Svc. Appt Scheduled

I called and made an appt today.

My "fan and radiator" service indicator shows a mileage countdown of 23K, but the date indicator shows 11/2007. The receptionist wasn't sure and tried asking a SA, if I should go in, but could not get an answer, so to be safe I made an appt. for after T-Day.

She warned me that if the key fob read doesn't show anything when I arrive then they won't work on it, so we'll see.

I have to admit that I like the Service Dept's changes though. I didn't even have to ask for a loaner. It was like "ok when do you want to come-in and no problem for a courtesy vehicle just make sure you bring your license, proof of ins. and a major credit card."

Update

OK took the car in today and they were done by 11:30 am.

It was time to re-fresh the microfilter.

I got a Black on Black X3 loaner today. I couldn't get the panaramic sunroof to open and I kept trying to figure out what I was doing wrong. When I took it back, I asked the guy and apparently they had problems with it previously, so they decided to disconnect it. I was wondering why the switch would not light-up when it got dark this evening.

The transmission warning indicator came on too, as soon as I hit a hill. It felt like it lost a gear.

LOL I should have taken the 28 instead. He asked me if I wanted to try an X3 or stick with a 3-series.

It's a nice SAV, but honestly I wouldn't buy one. You don't really sit-up high like a regular SUV, but you're not low like a car either. It's felt strange, but it does have good visibility though.

Well they told me it'll be ready by 5PM, but were done by 11:30. Of course, I was probably one of the first ones there in the AM and my SA takes good care of me.

I get a loaner from my dealership for every service because I bought it from there, but have to book in advance.

My dealer is Concord and yes I have to book about 10-days out too for a loaner.

My car has just over 39,100 on it.

I just got that changed on my E90.. I also thought it was a radiator serivce.. Oh well, I was kinda laughing when he told me it was a microfilter.

When I asked for a loaner that morning, My SA walked to the area where the used cars were and took off the sale sticker on the window and threw it in the back seat... Is that something all the dealerships do? I got a 07 328i..

LOL well that indicator does have the fan and the other icon looks like a radiator.

LOL no mines has a dedicated fleet of loaners. They even have a dedicated Transpo guy who is in charge of the shuttle and doing the paperwork on loaners.
