Is JBD worth it?

I am looking into JBD for my 2011 335d. Question for the group is, I am running oem 17s and no sport. Given this setup, am I putting too much on this setup if I have JBD? Will I not reap the benefits of this mod?

Thanks for your insight.....

How do you find the ride since ditching the run flats? That was going to be my next move.

Running JBD, it is very much so worth it. Fills in the range gaps and makes driving all the more enjoyable. Worth every penny. I think someone is selling theirs on the forum. Check it out. You wont regret it.

Are you guys running your JBD at 100%? I've had mine installed for about two weeks now at the stock "60%" but kinda scared to bump it up to 100% haha.

The non sport suspension is fine with the JBD at 100%. I've put 45,000+ miles on this setup and I am still here.

Been bumping it up slowly. At 90% atm. Slowly doing so and might turn it to 100 this weekend.

Since the JBD is cheaper than upgrading the suspension or switching to non-RFT's, buying one right now is a no brainer. In your current setup, you will still reap the benefits my friend!

there may be a learning curve - had mine for about a year - at first bump I moved it to 75% and would throw codes on occasion - then none at all - I am now at 100% and throw codes only on rare occasions

Thanks for all the great feedback. One other quick question for you guys. Did you get the CAN tool as well and do you find yourself needing it? If so, how often do you have to break it out?

I didn't get the CAN tool, although I have my own OBD2 scanner. I used it maybe 1/10 limp modes.

I did but that said every time I've hit limp mode (which is rare) it's just a matter of turning the car off and then on again (even while rolling) I use the tool before I make a dealer visit to clear codes (but not sure it's necessary)

I leave the CAN tool connected at all times. Snakes under the front floor mat, along the side of my seat, and rests on the rear floor. I just reach back with my left hand to grab it, and read and/or clear codes on the go. Am glad I have it. Also keep all the tools in the car to de-install and install the JBD.

Exactly. Heck, I don't even know if I'm using the CAN tool (BMS' instructions aren't the greatest) correctly. Every time I use it to clear my previous limp mode codes before visiting the stealership, it tells me there's nothing logged in. I don't hear anything back from the stealership so I assume everything is all fine and dandy.

Just get the CAN tool. If you hit limp mode, no biggie, but you'll be nervous taking it in to the dealer, risking voiding your warranty. It's pocket change in comparison.

I absolutely love the JBD. The biggest change is removing the JBD for dealer visits. The car feels slow in comparison. And yet, when I bought it the car felt very strong. There's your "proof" right there. I would avoid a RENNtech flash or anything like that unless you are really committed and planning on doing additional mods like FMIC, etc.

A simple plug and play for a relatively small price, the JBD is the ticket.

Austin you would avoid a Flash? I believe you should say flashes dont put you in limp mode and dont hv to worry at the dealer unless you faulk up the tranny or engine. A piggyback a la JB great for the money BUT you can and will go limp mode u hv to remove it cause it will SHOW that you're voiding your warranty. Flashes void also. Flashes and piggybacks will eventually need a larger IC so that you can reap benefits from it. I believe I couldnt of said it better amigos
