Auto Grill
Most popular rest stops on the Italian Autostada (Toll Road) are the Auto Grills, and they are huge! Cafe, Dolce, Tramezzino, Bibite, Bira, Vino, Prosciutto, etc... You can find all kinds of stuff here, even gifts to take home back to the states.
Look at the first pic towards the middle bottom half. You can see a green sign stating 24 kilometers till Venice.

Autogrill... priceless. They have the same layout in the UK, when I was driving from Manchester up to Blackpool. There was a Burger King, but they wouldn't put ice in it, unless you asked, then only two cubes!
I noticed the picture of the cafe at the museum had very modern furniture. I was told that was typical of Italy. I really like the design of Italian furniture and the best looking cars on the planet. That's the thing about driving...especially your own car to places to explore, and better yet outside your 'comfort zone' of your home town. You get a different perspective after you've been to some of these countries. Better yet is to live there awhile. We hope to get to Italy, probably next year, since some of our friend just moved to Rome and extended an invitation. Ciao.
