320d clumsy old start ?

Had the D3 for two years now and you kinda get used to the way your car starts, anyway for the last two weeks cold start has sounded kinda clumsy almost like it's not catching for a split second.

Drives and idles fine and smooth. Checked the codes tonight and show no errors. Any Ideas ?

Diesels require a fully charged healthy battery for a clean quick start. Diesels are harder to turn over than petrol engines because of higher compression ratios.

Possibly battery getting old?

probably 1 or 2 glow plugs are dead, give it a scan for codes.
