here's a stumper

Are the ETs the final measurement of an offset or does the width of the wheel in back make a difference. Let's say I have 8.5" in the front (that's what she said!) and 9.5 in the back and let's say the ET is the same as front to back. Are the back wheels out farther than the front?

ill be more worried about the 9.5 inch in the rear...thats what he said....yes the back sticks out more.

So what is gonna stick out more 9.5 in the back ET30 or 8.5 ET23

9.5 et30, 6mm more.

Yes, a wider wheel of the same offset will indeed stick out further.

Basic math is that for every inch you go up in width, it's like lowering the offset by 12.7mm. You're adding 1/2" to each side of the wheel while offset remains the same.

At least on an LCI e90, ET35 is freaking perfect on a 9.5 rim without any fender mods.
