Best aftermarket OEM look
I am searching for best aftermarket navigation for my non-idrive 335i. I prefer something similar to Dynavin. Which one has been retain to be more reliable? I see tons on eBay and on this forum but I cannot decide which one to go. Also I noticed there is Android and WinCE. Which one is more robust and wont software crash in our cars?
I don't like Ken-woods or Alpine HU which don't retain OEM look. Any advice which route to go? |

Thanks for reply Ali. I will check it out man. I know Pioneer is the best aftermarket units available because I have been a big fan of them but I wondering it they retain the OEM look. I know Dynavin keeps the OEM look but Have you heard if Dynavin is getting better or peopl are still complaining about it?

I'm not 100% sure, but most of what I've read (may be dated) still suggests one should avoid Dynavin.
I of believe someone else also makes an android based unit, which runs newer hardware with android 4.x Can't remember the name though. Maybe google it? |

If they could make a Bezel that looked good.

Something beside a flat piece of plastic the better aftermarket HU/Nav's wouldn't look so bad. Unfortunately all the Dynavin Clones and the Dynavin are lacking in the quality ,performance and leave out some obvious features like HD Radio. But they seem to be improving with things like engine monitors and PDC compatibility . And they still don't fit right at the bottom despite the car specific design. |
