Power Folding mirrors?

I have the button on the drivers side but it doesn't do anything. I read somewhere if you have sports seats and the button then its an indicator that you have it.

In reverse, the passenger side side mirror folds down.

Checked my vin and cant see anything in terms of power folding mirrors, just: Interior mirror with automatic-dip.

-Why would the button be there if it doesn't even work? Or is it just prep installed just like the alarm prep?

my next step is to check my fuses.

I believe all E92s have that button regardless if they have power folding mirrors or not. And the automatic dip of the passenger side mirror upon reverse is standard.

Auto dip is standard as long as you have power seats. My e91 has manual sport seats and I was disappointed that it didn't have auto dip like my last few cars. I don't miss the power seats much, but I miss that! Apparently it's controlled by the module that manages memory seats.

They don't have the switch with the power fold button if that option is not present.

If you have auto dip the switch has to be

If you have auto dip the switch for the mirror control has to be
in the right position for it to work. Either selecting the left or the
right mirror I forget which it is.

If the mirror selector is on the passenger side mirror the auto dip will not work... Like 1quickws6 states, if you have the power folding mirrors switch you have that option...

So if you have power folding mirrors, you should have 2 buttons under the four arrow switch on the drivers door. the one on the left should be a push button switch (power fold button) and on the right a button that goes left and right. I see fuse 9 & 66 are for the mirrors.

9 is located in the second row from top left 4th over, 5amp
66 - harder to explain... just below the mid section and all the horizontal fuses you will see a group of 10 vertical fuses in 2 rows of five. The last one (5th) on top row, 7.5 amp

Take note I have a 2011 E93, so there may be some differences ????

Checked fuses 9 and 66 and they were good. I think my next step is to open the damn side mirror and check for a motor lol

Seems backwards, but you have to have the button switched to the LEFT mirror for the right to dip when in reverse.
