dreaded IFH-0003: Datatransmission to interface disturbed

Hey all

Trying to do some VO code changes to my new to me 08 E93 M3.

I am using a Macbook pro 2012 ed. with parallels running XP 32 pro. I started with one ebay cable to no avail. It would light up, but always give me the error interface disturbed. I then got the onestop cable and am getting the same thing.

Just to note: I did the com port setup to various settings (obdsetup, 1 to latency, Rxfifo, txfifo), and changed obd.ini each time. I did multiple installs of different packages, and am using the one from the sticky here (with video).

I cannot read any assemblies or do anything in ncsexpert without seeing that error.

My next step is to borrow an older 32bit notebook and try the install and see if it works there. Any thoughts?

At present, I cannot get the ignition bubble to darken in INPALOAD>

What drivers are you using? Uninstall the cable drivers and try reinstalling using windows online database...

also, to add, I did:
* update the drivers from the FTDI site. 2.08.30
* am getting both dark circles without cable plugged into OBD

Another thought, am I going about this right? I am,reading about later cars using different methiods, is this right way to access, ncsexpert/inpaload for an 08 m3?

going to try on a older vista 32 notebook we have here today, hoping to get this working. I have had the whole interior out of the back of my car for the last 2 weeks exposing the most bridge, I want to get this all back together!
